Job Description

Initiate is a global market access strategy consultancy working with novel products designed to help people living with rare or life limiting disorders 

Job Purpose: To support our clients and the market access team.  The post holder will need to be able to create cost effectiveness and budget impact models. This includes assessing the epidemiology, disease management, unmet medical needs, burden of disease, cost of illness, relative efficacy and safety, cost-effectiveness and budget impact of health technologies, as well as supporting strategic pricing and marketing, value proposition and communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Cost Effectiveness Models
  • Develop Budget Impact models
  • Ensure timely delivery of project deliverables
  • Ability to carry out a range of data simulation methods
  • Ability to understand international health systems
  • Contribute to clinical summaries, dossiers and value messages to support reimbursement submissions
  • Supporting primary and secondary research

Customer service

  • Contribute to contact reports, project plans and updates for clients
  • Formatting slides, meeting reports
  • Contributes to pitch/proposals
  • Maintains client database

    Critical relationship

    The Health Economist will hold critical relationships with all members of the Initiate Team

    Physical requirements

    • Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of finger
    • Face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech
    • Regular sitting for extended periods of time

    Personal Attributes

    Education, experience and qualifications

    • Prior work experience in a health economics role is desired (1 year minimum)
    • Degree (or equivalent) in economics or statistics and ideally a post graduate MSc or Phd in Health Economics, or any related domain
    • Proven ability to create cost effectiveness models
    • Knowledge of statistical analysis/modelling software such as MS Excel, SAS, STATA or R would be an advantage
    • Highly organised

    • Ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple fashion and identify opportunities for new business
    • Ability to manage time and workload effectively
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
