Safari MK has a dedicated HR helpline from an external company but does not employ an internal HR specialist. Any internal HR documents are currently written by the Centre Manager or Finance Assistant.
With opening a second site we require a graduate who will help with HR procedures and carry out the following duties:
The candidate will need to interview current staff to find out what their role is within the company and compile an up to date job description which the company and employee can refer too.
You will also be required to update training plans for each role and ensure the new second site has all the appropriate tools and documents to train new staff.
Candidates will also be required to update induction packs for all new staff working alongside the group operations manager. The aim is to ensure the induction materials are up to date and the duty managers have the correct tools to complete inductions as and when required. For most staff this is the single most important piece of training they will complete during their career at Safari MK and Safari Play Peterborough. Due to this, it is very important that the induction packs are accurate and beneficial for staff.
You will assist with administration of offer letters, refusal letters and contracts for staff at the new site which is due to open in June 2019. We are aiming to employ in excess of 50 full and part time staff, therefore the role is extensive.
The graduate will gain some valuable HR and personnel experience. They will leave having completed a project that will help the business become more efficient.
Determination, attention to detail, personable, ability to complete tasks, high personal drive to succeed, ability to work on own and use initiative.
